FEES AND PAYMENT OPTIONS
Our fees for mobile dental hygiene care depend on what services are required. On average though, our fees are less than it would cost to have the same work done in a dental office. The convenience of having us come to the patient saves friends or loved ones from having to take time off work, or time out of their busy schedules to take someone to the dentist. Often the dental office is not equipped to handle patients with limited or no mobility which is an added barrier to care.
If the patient has dental insurance, many of the insurance companies will let us bill directly to them. More and more insurance companies are implementing payment directly to dental hygienists as they see the increasing benefits and need for their services. If payment cannot be made directly by the insurance company, or if there is a co-payment due, payment may be made by Visa or Mastercard.
Often we deal directly with family members because patients are unable to make arrangements themselves. Before the initial appointment we need a medical history completed, and a consent form signed. At the initial appointment a thorough assessment will be done and a written care plan provided outlining our findings and recommended treatment. If referrals need to be made, we can do that for you, or let you know what needs to be looked at, and you can set up appointments directly.
FORMS
In order to be able to treat each patient in a safe and effective manner, we require a dental history and medical history to be completed in addition to the New Patient Information Form. If a patient is unable to complete the forms by themselves, a parent, guardian, adult child or power of attorney may complete it for them and sign it.
